Fiquei muito alegre pelo convite que recebi para ir a um casamento junto com um amigo meu do primo dele para poder conhecer e foi uma experiência muito legal!
Ele mora na capital, mas sua esposa é daqui da cidade e o casamento foi aqui na cidade, pois a maior parte da família mora por aqui.
Conheci o noivo no dia e ele é muito legal, falava inglês e foi super receptivo.
Entramos no casamento juntos e eles tem o costume de estalar os dedos celebrando a entrada do noivo e tinha muita alegria no ambiente e música anunciando a entrada do noivo no ambiente. Nesse dia a noiva não participou da festa, mas o casamento é feito em mais de um dia dependendo da família.
As mulheres ficavam de um lado do salão e os homens do outro. Nessa mesma semana eu tinha comprado um turbante e pude usar pela primeira vez, pois é considerado adequado ir de turbante. As mulheres estavam com roupas bem coloridas e brilhantes e os homens de captany e turbante.
Tive a honra de sentar durante a festa no mesmo sofá que o noivo e participar dos momentos de celebração como a pintura das nossas mãos com tatuagem de hena, um “barro” que deixa a mão tingida por alguns dias; além disso em um dos momentos da festa as mulheres da família jogam dinheiro no noivo e seus convidados para ajudar no casamento.
Me senti muito honrado de poder participar de forma tão próxima do noivo, mesmo não o conhecendo direito e conhecer um pouco mais da cultura deles. Essa família é muito especial!

I was honor of sitting during the party in the same sofa that the groom and participate in the special moments of celebration with him as painting of our hands with tattoo henna, a "clay" that leaves the hand dyed for a few days, in addition in one of the moments of the party women family thrown money in the groom and your guests to help in the marriage.
I felt very honored to be able to be next to the groom, even not knowing him very well and to know more about the culture here in Chad. This family is very special!
